Founded in 2004 by Darryl and Stelle Young, Stellar Contracting is built on nearly four decades of hands-on construction experience and a relentless commitment to doing the work right.
Our Story
Darryl Young has worked in construction since 1987 — long before GPS machine control, robotic total stations, or commercial drones existed. He's seen the industry evolve firsthand, and has embraced every tool and technology that makes the work more accurate, safer, and more efficient.
Stellar Contracting was founded with a clear purpose: to build a company that does things the right way. Not the cheap way. Not the fast way. The right way — every project, every time.
Today, Stellar operates a full equipment fleet, a technology-driven survey and layout system, and a FAA Part 107 certified drone division — all under the same family ownership that has been on the job since day one.
Rework costs everyone. We invest in planning, technology, and crew quality to eliminate it.
We work with clients who value quality and reliability. Price-shoppers aren't our clients.
Darryl is not a figurehead. He is on the job, making decisions, and accountable for results.

Qualifications
We meet the strict requirements for industrial, municipal, and government work — including full union affiliations, $10M insurance coverage, and FAA Part 107 certification for drone operations.
